Making the World a Happier Place - One Quirky Creation at a Time.

Shop members

  • Jackie Evans

    Owner, Illustrator, Creator Of Things

Hi - I am Jackie (Jac) Evans - Illustrator and the very proud owner of The Little Welsh Studio. My mission is to make the world a happier place - one quirky colourful creation at a time.

Production partners

  • Jacky Bentham Print & Design

    Ross on Wye, England

I chose to work with Jacky, as she has similar values to me. Her aim is to help artists, illustrators and photographers to have their work appreciated by everyone, at an affordable price for their customers.

  • The Dandy Arthouse

    Saltaire, England

I chose T'Dah (as they are known) as they work closely with artists to produce quality items, but also because I know I am paying a company that invests in local communities and charities.

Hi there - welcome to Jac's Little Welsh Studio. I am an illustrator based in Llanelli, South Wales - and my aim is to make the world a happier place - one doodle at a time. Within my shop you will find a mix of hand drawn and printed items - every one features my own unique artwork. There is no mass production here - even the printed items are done in very small batches, so everything is just that little bit special.

I do hope you enjoy browsing my store, and that you will be happy with your purchases. But just in case you have any queries, please take a quick peak at our policies.

Payment

The Little Welsh Studio accepts PayPal and also all major credit cards.

Full payment is required before any item can be dispatched. Dispatch or ready to post items will normally be 3-5 days after the payment has cleared, unless we have discussed a different timescale. Made to Order items will take longer - this will be indicated on the item, and/or discussed and confirmed at the point of ordering.

For "made to order" items, the listing will indicate the current
estimated time to make your order - however, this will also be discussed when you order.

Personalised and made to order items are non-refundable unless faulty.

If for any reason you are unhappy with your item, please contact me within 14 days and I will see what I can do to help.

In the unlikely event of the item being damaged in the mail, please take photographs of both the packaging and the item as I may need these for any case with the mail service provider.

Shipping

Always allow adequate time for your order to reach you.

Processing/Dispatch dates are indicated on each listing. This is the date by which your order will be processed, packaged and taken to the post office - this is not the same as a delivery date.

Actual delivery dates are not guaranteed, as, once posted that is really down to the mail service here in the UK and in your own location.

I use the the UK Royal Mail for all my shipping, and use their "standard" service as my own standard, which is not tracked. This is done in order to keep costs lower for you. However, the option to upgrade shipping to tracked is available. It is your responsibility to choose the most appropriate option - but please do bear in mind that tracking an item does not necessarily mean it will arrive any quicker.

Please note that if you are ordering from outside of the UK, there may be restrictions on items that can be sent to you (for example wooden items). It is your responsibility, as the buyer, to check that the item you order will be accepted by customs in your country.

You must also consider that taxes may be payable for goods delivered in your country - again, it is your responsibility to check this and pay as required. My own prices do not include these, however, for most countries, these are calculated by Etsy - you will see a breakdown of any additional taxes when you check out.

Always ensure your address details are accurate and up to date, as I will only send to the address provided to me at the time. I will not be held responsible for your item not reaching you if any part of the address you provide is incorrect.

Additional policies and FAQs

Lost Items
Although this is very rare, there are occasions when items do not reach their intended destination.

Please remember that The Little Welsh Studio is based in the UK.

In the UK, the postal service does not consider at item lost until at least 14 days have passed. In line with this, I cannot refund on orders that you feel may have been lost in the mail until that time has passed.

If, after 14 days, your item has not arrived, please do contact me and we can discuss what to do next.

Privacy

This privacy notice will change from time to time – particularly if we change the way we collect or use your personal information, so do check back here every now and then. It was last updated on 20th May 2018.

This privacy notice has been developed for my Etsy store. My full policy is on my website - JacsLittleWelshStudio.co.uk .

Introduction
At Jac's Little Welsh Studio, we fully understand how important privacy is to every one of our visitors and customers. We collect, use, store and retain your personal data in line with data protection legislation. This privacy notice aims to provide as much information as possible to help you understand how we look after your data, what your legal rights are in relation to that information - and how you can contact us if you have any questions or queries about how we look after your personal information.

How is your Personal Information Used – The Basics
There are a number of ways that your personal information will be collected when you make contact with Jac's Little Welsh Studio – mostly though it is so that we can respond to queries you send, or to process orders you have made.

When we receive your message, the details you provide will be kept keep them to answer your query or process your order.

If you purchase from us, this is done here in my Etsy store. Your order will be posted to you via Royal Mail. We don't have a contract with them – we use their standard mail service.

The Little Welsh Studio and Marketing Materials
We do not not currently have a newsletter or send out any kind of marketing materials, but we may do that in future. If and when that happens, this policy will be updated and will only send that information to those who have specifically asked to receive it.

How your Personal Information is Used – The more technical bits
In this section, we try to explain they type of information we will collect or process, why we do that and how it is done. We can only process your information if we have a “legal basis" for doing that. There are 6 of those listed in the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

In this notice, we explain which of these apply in each case. Here we go:

Contact and Enquiry Information
We may process information about you to answer your query or process an order. This may include your name, address, email address, postal address and telephone number – depending on what information you provide to us.

We will receive this either directly from you via an Etsy conversation. In all cases we receive only the information you choose to provide – and it will be used to correspond with you until your query is resolved. (If correspondence leads to a purchase we will require and process further information – please see the section please see the section “Ordering and Purchasing Information”.)

Legal Basis – Consent OR the performance of a contract between you and us, and/or taking steps, at your request to enter into a contract OR legitimate interests, in particular, managing relationships with our customers.

We may process information you send to us for publication on our website – for example, if you email feedback on an order you have received, we may share this on our website and/or social media platforms. We will ask you if it is OK to use you personal information in this way.

Legal basis – Consent: if you have sent this information by private communication channels (such as email) then we will ask for your consent to publish this. (NOTE - if you have posted the information on any of our public sites (social media channels) we do not require consent as you have chosen to make this public – and it is therefore exempt from data protection provisions. However, we will endeavour to contact you to check if it may be shared on other social media channels)

If you order through Etsy, you do this directly through that site. The Little Welsh Studio does not receive any of your payment account details. We only receive the information we need to complete your order – the most important being your address, so that we can send your purchases to you.

Legal Basis – This processing is necessary for the performance of a contract between you and us, and/or taking steps, at your request to enter into a contract and our legitimate interests, in particular, managing our business appropriately.

Legal Requirements
We may process any of the personal information mentioned in this policy - where necessary - for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims, whether in court proceedings or in an administrative or out of court procedure.

We may process personal information for the purposes of obtaining or maintaining insurance coverage, or obtaining professional advice in relation to business risk – however, this is unlikely.

Legal Basis – Legitimate Interest: The protection and assertion of our legal rights, your legal rights and the rights of others; the protection of our business against business risk.
We may also process personal information where we are required to do so to comply with any legal obligations to which we are subject – or where it is necessary to protect our vital interests or the vital interests of anyone else. (As specified in relevant legislation).

Is your data transferred outside of the UK or EU?
The Little Welsh Studio is based in the UK, and only accesses your information on devices in the UK. ETSY is based in the US. This means that the data you provide may be held outside of the UK/EU – however, Etsy complies with GDPR and are part of an agreement called the “Privacy Shield”.

How long do we keep data
How long we keep you data will depend on why we have it. Mostly - it's not long - we only keep your data as long as we need to answer your query or process your order.

We are required to keep our invoices and details of sales etc - which might include your name and address, and sometimes your email address. This is a requirement - should we need to submit information to HMRC. But like everything else we do - that information is kept safe and secure and accessed only by The Little Welsh Studio staff.

Your Rights
Data Protection legislation is in place to help protect your personal information – and give you control over how it is used. It gives you rights associated with your data, the main ones are listed below. They won't always apply in every circumstance – but we will explain it to you if you choose to exercise any of your rights.
Right to access – you can request copies of any information we hold about you
Right to rectification – If you believe we have any of you details wrong, you can ask us to correct them
Right to Erasure – You can ask us to delete any information we hold about you. This will apply only when we do not have a legal basis to retain that information.
Right to Restrict or Object to Processing – this is controlling exactly what data we hold – you can ask us to stop using certain data or stop carrying out certain processes with your data.
The right to complain to a "Supervisory Authority" – an organisation that oversees Data Protection. This could be the Authority where you live, where you work – or the one for the UK, where we are based, which is the Information Commissioners Office.

Where we rely on consent to process your data, you can withdraw that consent at any time.
